The Code
This is a space for strategy, not a shouting match. The Legislative Assembly of the New Republic functions only when its citizens hold themselves to a higher standard than the systems we are here to replace. This Code ensures our work remains focused and effective.
Engage with the idea, not the person.
To participate in the Assembly, you must adhere to this Code.
The Five Rules of the Assembly
1. Lead with Logic
If you see a flaw in a proposal, offer a better way to solve the problem. Use evidence, history, and data to support your position. Argue like an architect: bring structural analysis, not emotional reaction. The Assembly deals in objective reality — if you cannot prove it, do not assert it.
2. Reject Partisan Noise
This is not a place for tribalism or “whataboutism.” We are here to fix systems, not to fight for a team. Comments that exist solely to signal allegiance to a party, deploy talking points, or engage in bad-faith heckling are structural defects in the discourse. We do not permit structural defects.
3. Stick to the Facts
The Republic is built on objective reality. If you have data, a historical precedent, or a case study that strengthens or challenges a Decree, bring it. The best legislation is built on new information, not just conviction. Do not introduce false or misleading information into the Assembly record.
4. Zero Tolerance for Sabotage
Personal attacks, insults, name-calling, and misinformation are not permitted. If your only purpose is to provoke, disrupt, or “own” another citizen, you are not building — you are demolishing. Those who disrupt the work will be removed from the Assembly permanently.
5. Master Your Attention
Your mind is your own jurisdiction. Do not let the noise of the old world distract you from the mission. The Empire thrives on outrage, distraction, and manufactured conflict. The Republic thrives on focus, logic, and constructive action. Choose accordingly.
Enforcement
The Legislative Assembly is a moderated forum. The Tribune and the editorial team reserve the full right to remove any comment and to permanently bar any citizen who violates the letter or the spirit of this Code. A building that tolerates structural defects will eventually collapse. We do not tolerate structural defects.
Thank you for holding yourself to the standard of the Republic. Now, let’s build.
