Our Principles

We are non-partisan, but not neutral.

We do not believe all arguments have equal merit, and we do not “split the difference.” We have a point of view. It is a worldview guided by a clear set of foundational principles.

These principles are the standard for every article we publish.

1. Principle Over Party

We believe that blind loyalty to a political party is a failure of independent thought. We judge ideas, policies, and actions based on their merits and their adherence to logic, not on which “side” they come from. We hold all sides accountable to the same high standard.

2. Reject the Binary

We believe the “Left vs. Right” framework is a false choice, a zero-sum game designed to divide, not to solve. Reality is found in the nuance. The best solutions are almost never at the political extremes, and we exist to explore the productive, non-partisan space in the middle.

3. Intellectual Honesty

We engage with all arguments in good faith. We will not use “straw man” fallacies, “whataboutism,” or partisan talking points. We will attack the logic of an argument, never the person making it. When we are wrong, we will say so and correct our work publicly.

4. Relentless Focus on Solutions

We believe that government is for the people, not the political parties. It is not enough to simply critique a problem or complain about the “noise.” We are relentlessly solution-focused, committed to proposing workable, pragmatic, and non-partisan paths forward.

This is what we stand for. This is the Roar.
